Transforming Age welcomes new Executive Director at Parkshore

SEATTLE, Wash. – July 16, 2018 – Parkshore, the nonprofit senior living community located in Seattle’s Madison Park neighborhood, announces the hiring of Annika DiNovi as their Executive Director.  DiNovi brings more than 10 years of nonprofit senior living leadership experience to Parkshore and the unique leadership background needed to serve the residents and team members and to further the mission of this 15-story continuing care retirement community (CCRC) located on the banks of Lake Washington.  Parkshore is owned and operated by Transforming Age, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the perception of age and making life better for older adults.   Built in 1963, this iconic tower was the first community developed by the organization.

Most recently, DiNovi served as the Director of Operations for CRISTA Senior Living, a multisite CCRC in Shoreline and Silverdale, WA. She holds a BA in Psychology from Trinity Western University and an MA in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University. Her work in the field of aging began 10 years ago as a social worker supporting seniors who were facing difficult life transitions.

DiNovi is most proud of her 101-year-old grandfather who still lives independently and she credits him for the passion she has for working with seniors. “He’s an amazing man, still physically active, mentally sharp and full of incredible wisdom – he is living proof that age is just a number.” She goes on to say, “I consider it a privilege to work in an industry that places such value on seniors and encourages purposeful living no matter what the age.”

“Annika is a great addition to our team,” says Kevin McNamara, Regional Director of Operations at Transforming Age.  “Her leadership experience in nonprofit senior living combined with her clear passion for our mission will be an invaluable resource to our organization as we continue to build a network that improves the lives of older adults.”

DiNovi is coming aboard at an integral moment in Parkshore’s history.  The 55-year old high-rise is currently undergoing an ambitious $30 million dollar renovation designed to upgrade common areas and create new amenities that are important to current residents and the seniors of the future.

“Transforming Age is leading the industry with a commitment to expand its mission and impact,” states DiNovi, “I feel truly honored to join such an innovative and talented organization.”  She also adds, “I‘m thrilled to join the team at Parkshore!  I believe in creating a community where employees love to work and seniors love to live and I can’t imagine a more stunning setting to do that than beautiful Parkshore.”

DiNovi and her husband are both Seattle natives. They are avid sports fans; they enjoy traveling and love spending their free time being active and outside enjoying the beautiful Northwest.
