Judi Pring joins Transforming Age as Vice President of Resident Engagement and Wellness

Judi brings 15 years of senior living experience

BELLEVUE, Wash. – September 23, 2021 – Today, Transforming Age announces that Judi Pring is joining the organization and will serve as Vice President of Resident Engagement and Wellness. Judi brings more than 15 years of senior living experience. Her first job in senior living was as an activities assistant at a skilled nursing home. It was this job combined with caring for her grandmother after her stroke that ignited her passion for working with seniors and finding ways to bring meaningful experience to their days. After leaving the activity assistant job, Judi spent two years working for the Alzheimer’s Association doing community and family educational programs and outreach. It was here that she learned best practices for working with people with Alzheimer’s disease and became committed to ensuring that all caregivers have the tools to provide the highest quality of care for those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. She joined Sunrise Senior Living in January of 2010 as a memory care coordinator. She was later promoted to ED, and in 2016 she became the Regional Director of Programming. In this role she was part of an interdisciplinary team that created and launched the Villa brand which focused on active aging and wellness. Listening formed the foundation of the Villa brand, and she worked to create processes whereby community teams had the tools to ask meaningful questions of the residents in order to find out what truly brought them a sense of well-being and learn what they aspired to do. This led to resident driven programming focused on the aspirational wellness of each resident living in the building.

Pring will be responsible for working closely with community teams to bring individualized programming content to our residents. Resident input and participation in the daily offerings is a hallmark of Judi’s historical approach. Through careful assessment of a resident’s life history combined with current interests, Transforming Age will utilize state of the art technology and the latest well researched elements of programming to bring new energy and engagement.

“Judi Pring’s strong operational and programming background along with her passion for providing the best life for seniors in her sphere of influence places her in the top echelons of professionals in this very important area of care and service. We are thrilled to have her join our team at Transforming Age”, said Jeff Slichta, Executive Vice President of Housing and Hospitality.

Judi says “I joined the team at Transforming Age because innovation is part of the values of the company. In order to create limitless possibilities for seniors, we need to take the time to listen, be nimble in responding to what we learn when we are listening and to work hard to ensure that we are truly helping seniors live their best lives, lives in which their passions and aspirations are valued and central to the work we are doing. I believe the values and mission at Transforming Age align with my vision for caring for and enhancing the lives of seniors. I also love that Transforming Age in a non-profit organization that strives to meet the needs of all seniors regardless of their circumstances.”

Judi lives in Colorado with her husband, two boys, and her dog.
