WHAT IS LIFE CARE AND WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?
If you never need assistance, memory support, rehabilitation or long-term care, you’ll be in the lucky 25 percent who don’t.
But if you happen to be among the 75 percent who will need some long-term care, it can drain finances fast. Services like assisted living and skilled nursing can cost up to $100,000 a year or more.
What is Life Care?
When you move to Skyline as an independent living resident, you’ll also get the benefit of Life Care, which provides a predictable monthly service fee for independent living. If your needs change over time, you will also have guaranteed unlimited access to our full continuum of the highest-quality, on-site health care services, including assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing and rehabilitation.
And you can be certain that up to 80 percent of your entrance fee will be returned to you or your estate, keeping your financial assets well protected.
Our engaging lifestyle, combined with the security of a continuing care retirement community, creates what we call our Life Care Advantage – putting you in control of your life and your future.
Life Care comes with a tax benefit.
Another great thing about Life Care is it can provide tax benefits that equal or exceed those claimed in conjunction with ownership of a principal residence, primarily the deduction of mortgage interest and real estate tax deductions. Selecting a Life Care contract can provide a substantial “medical expense” deduction. These substantial deductions continue for as long as you reside in your independent living apartment.
